I must admit, I’m very attracted to the idea that I’ve seen raised of the BBC “setting the record straight” by playing Trump’s speech in full, and unedited.

You cannot, after all, be defamed by your own words, and people can make their own judgement as to what Trump’s words and intentions were.

You have absolutely nothing to apologise for, and nor do any of the other decent, law-abiding and pro-democracy Americans who are still the majority (despite the lies of your President and media).

One day we’ll toast the end of the vile government you currently have, and begin our alliance again.

Realistically, this needs to be handled as a Prevent/CONTEST Strategy issue. This is about people from being drawn into extremism and terrorism, which is the path many of these people are on.

If they were Muslim extremists this would already be happening, and they are no less of a security threat.

We’d love to share intelligence with you for the legal stuff (i.e. not this) but intelligence doesn’t seem to be a defining feature of the current US Government. That, and the whole “tariffs and trying to subvert our democracy, legal system and media” thing. Karma’s a bitch.
