I can't listen to my mother in law argue that calling her child a dyke and making fun of lesbian sex when my wife came out wasn't homophobic

I think I read every spider and insect book I could get my hands on when I was in elementary school, and I wanted a pet tarantula. Then at 14 I very suddenly developed such intense arachnophobia I can't even look at pictures of spiders anymore 😔😔😔
I mean this in an encouraging way: try to unlearn your disgust of “creepy” crawlies. While not always easy, it is so richly rewarding to develop an appreciation for some of the most numerous and fascinating animals that you can see just about every time you go outside. There is wonder everywhere.

Are there not laws against this? Isn't the stock market the one thing Republicans take seriously? It's so baffling
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt:

"There will be no unilateral reduction in tariffs against China."

As predicted, it was yet another pump and dump on the stock market.

Endless market manipulation.

I know we're all supposed to be hating landlords out here, but I really appreciate mine. He's not perfect but he's always available and tries his best and hasn't jacked up the rent and I think it's just the small things that keep me going rn

The number of pickup trucks I’ve seen today in SLC with the truck bed full of snow is more evidence that they’re not working vehicles. Just car bloat and gender-affirming vehicles.

This reminds me of that time we found out that my wife's ex lost his arm about a year after she broke up with him and it's still jarring to think about
Report: You Could Just Lose An Arm One Day

A new study from Boston University’s School of Public Health has found that anyone, including you, could feasibly lose an arm at any moment due to a vast number of possible events outside your control.

I take it back the liberals are out in full force defending Liz Cheney
You know if you can stomach the libby-liberal liberalness on this website it's actually not so bad

Pretty telling that I get blocked for quoting this post with such a mild criticism. It's practically CIA psyop material

I love how liberals can understand when it's criticism of car-centered infrastructure and fossil fuel dependency, but somehow genuinely think that egg prices are the issue and not neoliberalism stripping our government and economy for parts
March 12, 2025 at 5:29 AM
This is not in reference to the cult classic meme asking trump about egg prices. This is directed at the white women waiting in egg lines outside of Costco like it's the 1930s. Y'all know eggs expire, right?
Not to be extraordinarily rude, but outside of the ten autists who must solely consume factory farmed chicken eggs or risk starving to death, y'all can just live without or find baking substitutes. Eggs are subsidized through the moon it's time we stopped depending on unsustainable food sources

The weeks of performative “resistance” from those in my party were limited to undignified antics.

Voting to shut the government down will punish millions or risk a recession.

I disagree with many points in the CR, but I will never vote to shut our government down.
