I write for a small liberal news site. I don’t find it hard to report on Donald Trump at all because Trump has an extensive public record of telling us exactly how he feels on every issue under the sun. He’s not inscrutable or a mystery. If you think reporting on Trump is hard you’re just not trying
Apparently his lifelong dislike of black skin is too difficult to comprehend
What's difficult for reporters is there's no evidence showing Trump's actual reasons for the deployments. You can speculate (he doesn't like blue cities, he wants to crush anti-Trump protests, he wants to intimidate voters next year) but the only reported justification is the anti-crime crackdown.
