The curse of being a Maxis fan who lives in the East Bay is seeing a building and thinking "I'm pretty sure that building is in SimCity 2000"

and then being RIGHT

On the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, we thought we'd answer a question that's often asked,

"If they raised the Mary Rose, why not raise the Titanic?"

Allow our scaled diagram to explain...

A lovely Neolithic knife - with its wooden handle - from a site with houses built on stilts on marshy land in Germany. Usually, the wooden part rots away and we just have the blade. This makes so much more sense!

Do not miss this if you’re into PC sound cards — or computer history in general! The stories behind such things are always more interesting than you might imagine.

Jim did an incredible job with this, just a wonderful documentary and inspiring work all-around.
After months of work, I'm happy to release my documentary featurette on a very rare DOS sound card (how's that for niche?): youtu.be/Eeo4INoGyRY

If you have any friends who are into DOS sound cards, the Apple II, music on personal computers in the 1980s, forward this to them; they might like it.
Do you own the rarest PC sound card in the world?

Specifically looking at the HP Mini 1000, one of the more popular from the short-lived netbook era. If you could even call it an era. So join me as I review the system I had back in 2009 and put it through its paces 16 years later!
