Trump has deployed active military to help round up migrants and put them into detention camps.

The military forced us out of our homes at gunpoint in 1942 because we were considered possibly disloyal Americans. They sent us to internment camps for four years.

History is repeating. Pay attention.

Being a person with deadly, incurable cancer who is nonetheless still alive for an indefinite timeframe gives me an interesting metaphor that helps me deal with things like large-scale corruption in government or commerce.

Bear with me for a second while I try to explain.

I head someone explain this as “Good weird is being weird about your own business, bad weird is being weird about other people’s business” and I thought that summed it up pretty well.
Stop being the bad kind of weird. This place is for the good kind of weird only. 🦋

Outside of the Deerfield Public Library in Illinois. Spent several hours in a study room there. The librarians were helpful and friendly.
They have a cafe there that I didn’t take advantage of, but wish I had.
Nearby park and skateboard park along with lots of restaurants etc very nearby

Al Gore warned us some two decades ago that we faced an “Inconvenient Truth.” We didn’t heed his warnings, and now he warns us again. Will we heed it now?

A thing that gives me hope for humanity is that, given infinite virtual worlds to conquer, so many of us immediately just want to build a cool little house and have pets.

Last September, I spent some time in LA. They have a gorgeous central library with a lot of great resources that were available. This included the Octavia (named for Octavia Butler) Lab a maker space available for patrons (not pictured).

Last Sept, I took BART from Milpitas to San Francisco, w/ stops in Berkeley and Oakland. I ended my trip with some time at the SF public library on Market Street. The staff there were very helpful and knowledgeable staff and the library has fantastic resources. It was a great way to end the trip.
