Just heard on the news the White House is considering offering ‘perks’ / possibly cash rewards for women to have babies …. I can hear it now… (I personally know women who continue to have babies because they want the ‘benefits’ (food stamps & WIC). 🙄🙄🙄🙄

If President Trump can wrongly deport a Maryland father to a prison in El Salvador and then defy a 9-0 Supreme Court order to facilitate bringing him home, who’s next?

This threatens the rights and freedoms of everyone in the United States.

Women - better be ready to defend, justify and downright fight for every right you have.
Called my congressman who voted for the SAVE act.

Me: What documents will I need to vote if this passes?
Staffer: a DL and birth certificate.
Me: The documents don’t match
Staffer: Then a marriage certificate.
Me: Will my husband need the marriage certificate too?
Staffer: No
Me: See the problem?

We had elections Tues for a # of critical issues. (Mayor, school board members, bond issues). I heard on the radio-only 14% voted..in some precincts the outcome was decided by 10 votes. In one smaller community the vote was decided by ONE vote.
And this is why we are in the predicament we are in.

My heart hurts every time I see a free floating balloon.
Balloons don't go to heaven. They fall back to Earth and many birds and wildlife become entangled resulting in death. There are many other ways to celebrate life that aren't harmful to the environment and wildlife!

The hidden turmoil of what has been going on will most likely be a larger impact on consumers than the stupid 'tariffs' that may or may not materialize.
You can not tell me the power(s) that be did not have that thought in mind at the onset of the insanity.
What some people aren’t factoring into their analysis is the reality that companies were buying tons of inventory to beat the tariffs.
That’s cash taken from being able to invest or hire. In fact the probably cut costs and jobs as a result.

To me, there is a big difference between ‘accommodations’ and “dummying down” the curriculum. But, I guess I’m confused.

Pay attention to what is happening at Social Security. DOGE has created serious tech problems, gutted the staff, overwhelmed call centers, and created much confusion in its wake. Pay attention Americans—you earned these benefits. Nobody has the right to them—but you.

It's not a bad idea to go to the local Walmart or big box retailer and buy lots of consumables now. From toothpaste to soap, anything you can find storage space for, buy before they have to replenish inventory.

Even if it's made in the USA , they will jack up the price and blame it on tariffs.

🧵 time so buckle up! So let’s talk about the claim that Muskrat made about SSA giving Social Security Numbers (SSNs) to noncitizens. To be clear, since he did not make this distinction, the chart he showed does NOT mean those people received benefits. The chart was specific to SSNs assigned via 1/?

Got this asinine "survey". The person who created this needs to be 'schooled' in appropriate ways to gather reliable data. BUT we all know that the majority of our politicians could care less about reliable data. This annoys the crap out of me on so many levels.

Anyone in Iowa City that can offer more insight?

Closing rural post offices will do the same thing that closing rural schools has done: Empty out rural towns.

Why? To sell off farmland for rock bottom prices to the oligarchs. Water and mineral rights and CAFOs polluting with impunity.

It’s been the plan for decades.
