One thing that stands out in the responses i got was that genAI takes away the very thing that makes making a game so fun. It's fun and worthwhile to do BECAUSE it is hard, because the contraints force creative thinking, and that is in that tension point beauty is found.

Also, as I have coined "Potterslop" please only use it in reference to the works of JK Rowling/Robert Galbraith, not other wizardy/witchy-based media.

Looking forward to Witchbrook, Hela and more Strixhaven stuff, actually. They don't deserve that association.

Something about the Simpsons really brought out the bots in increased numbers.

From playing so many games, you learn how to spot them and here you keep a shotgun handy. But there were so many and a mid size map doesn't help.

I preferred the Super season overall.

I think I can count two content creators in FFXIV that have something useful to offer the dev team and one of them mostly focuses on achievement hunting content instead.

Which is a shame, but that’s what he built his audience around.

I think the problem begins when someone cynically adopts the idea to create a tar pit instead of a good game, but I could say that about the three dozen Metroidvanias released every year now.

Absolum is an original IP from a studio usually making licensed brawlers because Sega or whoever doesn’t feel like doing it.

Plus I feel applying rougelike mechanics suits something in the vein of Mystara and Dragon’s Crown more than if they had applied it to Streets of Rage.

Birthday gift cards went toward a copy of Hell is Us for PS5 and some art instruction books by Andrew Loomis.

I've seen Shattered Memories PS2 range from $150 to $450 and I think the Wii one is high, but not as high as PS2.

Probably because PS2 was well into its twilight years and Wii and PSP were not quite as long in the tooth at that time.

PSP seems on the low end of pricing .

why is there no edit button, Damocles?

GT and Forza at least were once out there giving these other games something to compete with, now the plumber and his hedgehog rival are showing up at your performance review.

That’s some sword of Damolcles stuff.
