Amid its slash-&-burn campaign against our diplomatic tools & agencies, the WH fired nonpartisan members of the State Department's Historical Advisory Committee without cause. Congress established HAC & its composition is determined by statute. Those improperly terminated should be reinstated.
🆘 The White House terminated the entire staff of the State Dept.'s Historical Advisory Committee this evening.

This threatens the integrity of the declassification of foreign policy records, the objectivity of our historical accounts, and undermines current and future policy makers.
