The senator said it... We are living in dark times. Making streets safer for all users shouldn't be partisan or ideological. Regardless of if you walk, bike, take transit or drive, we all want to travel safely without the risk of injury or death.

• Sound Transit Express bus fare will be lowered by a quarter to $3, same as Link light rail.

In my book I don't care how many miles of rail a transit system has. What I want to know is how good the local bus system is? The humble bus is the real workhorse of transit. Going places rail will never go and unlocking access for so many people. Let's get the basics right.

I'm all for GCRTA hiring more operators, but adding an extra message to the destination sign seems doesn't seem like a great way to advertise.
