Love this possession battle stat in the fourth screenshot
Early-season takeaways from in-house LNIB stats, including the Thunder's historic pace, a possible change to Aggression+ to account for the Blazers' pressing, the Rockets' offense, the Knicks' possession battle dominance, and more.

Nikola Jokic has been the NBA's best player for five years, and he's still getting better at age-30. Some quick words on Jokic's greatness:

NEW #CashConsiderations with @rickyodonn.bsky.social on the Bulls after 10 games. While they've slipped to 6-4 after the 5-0 start, we still see plenty of reasons why they can compete for a guaranteed playoff spot. Vibes, depth, Giddey leap and more!

This is a good point on the early strength of schedule ratings from @blogabull.com. I kinda think they can get fat on the many tanking teams later in the season, but that does not mean they're actually good

It is deeply hilarious that Nico traded Luka for being overweight entering last season only to have Anthony Davis be exactly as overweight entering this season. My trade ideas here are probably way too rich. Next Dallas GM is in a grim position without control of their 2027-2030 first round picks
Trading Anthony Davis needs to be the Mavs' first move once Nico Harrison is finally fired. Here's a few AD trade candidates (including the Bulls! thanks I hate it) and words on a situation so sad not even "Marvin's Room" can sum it up:

Firing Nico, and trading Anthony Davis to one of these suitors is the only way to save the Mavs.

The Bulls have played the NBA’s hardest strength of schedule so far. They have the NBA’s easiest strength of schedule the rest of the season. A 6-4 start without Coby and Collins is damn good.

Reading this for some schadenfreude and wow, I did not realize that the Mavs don't have a single 1st round pick for the 4 drafts from 2027-2030.

Hope you win the draft lottery AGAIN and find ANOTHER Cooper Flagg and manage to develop them before they both just take the qualifying offer and walk!

First Bears offense of my lifetime that can fuck up an easy touchdown and still get in the end zone two plays later

This might be the best defensive possession of Giddey's career. Multiple efforts on different types of players, all with a bum ankle after getting crossed over into the shadow realm. Even a skeptic like me has to respect it.

Labaron Philon: lottery pick. Got to the rim at will all game, showed off his disruptive defense, and hit two pull-ups (one mid-range, one ridiculous three) in the clutch to win the game. Alabama's checks must be huge because there's no reason this dude should still be in college.
