Bulls are basically even with Giddey on and -10 with him off. Giddey + Coby (who will also miss time) both off is -13.6. The schedule is super packed with 17 games if one or both misses a month.

Giddey was having an awesome year playing like a fringe All-Star. Just a huge bummer.

I think it's time for the Clippers to trade Kawhi Leonard, and there are a couple teams who could be interested:

That sucked but I'm just glad I have a football team that can make me feel things other than existential dread again

These teams can absolutely not stop each other, it's no country for punts or field goals

Last year the Bears obviously needed three new starters on the offensive line and they actually did it and it worked out great

This year they need at least two new starters on the defensive line and I really hope it’s that easy again

There's really a Chicago Bears offense that can cash in on free plays by threading deep shots
There's really a Chicago Bears offense that can scheme open/throw open receivers

Silver lining to another mediocre/pointless Bulls season:

1) Giddey + Matas is looking good. Bulls' two biggest building blocks complement each other well.
2) Giddey + Matas + a stretch 5 is tracking as a winning combo. They need one who doesn't stink on D (so does every team)

Wrote about the greatest throw in Bears history, and why the next 10 years of the Packers rivalry shouldn't be as painful as the last 30:

Caleb Williams’ Packers dagger gave the Bears more than just a win
Caleb Williams made the best throw in Bears history to beat the Packers and maybe help even the scales of football’s most lopsided rivalry.

Wrote about how the Pelicans could have minimized their risk in the Derik Queen trade, and it's not protecting the pick. Also includes thoughts on how the trade can still turn into a win for New Orleans.

The Bulls’ second and third best players are Tre Jones and Jalen Smith, who would be nice role players on a real team but are absolutely just wasting their time on the Bulls

Kevin Warren is two weeks away from asking Ben to draw up a trick play that gets the state to think the Bears might actually pay them back
Bears president/CEO Kevin Warren writes that IL leadership has said the new stadium project will not be a priority in 2026. "(In) addition to Arlington Park, we need to expand our search and critically evaluate opportunities throughout the wider Chicagoland region, including Northwest Indiana."
