I'm tired, sore and I have a headache. I was going to call in. It took a force of will to log in and start working. But I didn't. I don't. Because I have a 'good work ethic'. Even though I know if I was to drop dead, the post for my job would be up before the generic condolences email hit my team.

I'm trying to make myself better. I'm not succeeding as much as I'd like, but I am succeeding. I know it's a slow process, but I'm having trouble seeing progress, even though I know there is.

Realizing that the people in your life need you more than YOU need you. Polar opposite of what I usually feel. And yet, still painfully, brutally alone. Why bother?
