0.2% growth in productivity over five years from "AI".

That's your revolution, lads, really?

The sort of blip that could be reversed by a particularly rainy bank holiday.
Anyway, tech-wise, AI will have a "positive effect on productivity growth", the OBR say, with a 0.2 percentage point impact in five years

This house tax pretending is making me more insane than usual because as a renter I’ve had to move every 1-3 years just as standard because rents always rise. And no one cares. House owners get a tiny fraction of that precarity and suddenly it’s the worst thing that’s ever happened

Probably the worst of them all is the Ring doorbell.

It’s sold as safety, but it’s much more about fear and paranoia in a box that turns you against your community. The more of them in the world, the worse our neighborhoods get. Don’t help the spiral continue.

I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

You’re telling me that right wing voters that Labour was trying to appeal to voted for a right wing party anyway and left wing voters decided not to vote for Labour because they’re too right wing now? Who could have possibly predicted this.

Also… good? Get outta here.
Latest from @thetimes.com campaign in favour of keeping Britain as a tax haven for foreigners, regardless of how long they have lived here. What a pity it won’t tell us how Henley Partners, which has skin in the game, came up with its data. Its last “survey” was “modelled” on 250 LinkedIn profiles!
London falls out of top five wealthiest cities as millionaires leave
The UK capital has lost 11,300 dollar millionaires over the past year, a higher proportion than anywhere other than Moscow
