Hard to believe anyone would call for USA to abandon the Geneva Convention. Why are we still in AUKUS? Why are we allowing a new forward deployment US base in Toowoomba? We are allied with people advocating for war crimes. @albomp.bsky.social We do not share these values.
Hegseth: "We unleash overwhelming and punishing violence on the enemy. We also don't fight with stupid rules of engagement. We untie the hands of our warfighters to intimidate, demoralize, hunt, and kill the enemies of our country. No more politically correct and overbearing rules of engagement."

Australia has been a close US ally for eight decades. Last month our Govt gave the US an $800M #AUKUS gift to US shipyards. We're going to give them billions more. Today Trump lumped Australia with countries he says have "looted, pillaged, raped and plundered" the US. #auspol

Interesting allusion to (3-term President) FDR by Trump in his tariff rant. Wonder if this will become a recurring reference in his narrative.

And it was not a “stunt gone wrong”. It was a deeply political provocation designed to generate lies that could be reported as facts. Posing as journalism. There absolutely needs to be an investigation of this rogue organisation at heart of our politics & they need to be held to account.
Fat chance.
The Daily Telegraph took part in a stunt in which a provocateur tried and failed to *stir up* antisemitism at an Egyptian restaurant in order to have it caught on camera.

How's this for "social cohesion"? I wonder if any politicians will bother to comment

It would be very useful for a serious news outlet to challenge the author of the Frontier Economics report, Danny Price, on the validity of the many flawed assumptions and conclusions of the report. Grilling Dutton and O'Brien on this is futile as they simply defer to Frontier as "the experts".
