At the Cormorant in Newburyport, I tried their Bourbon Cream Soda ($10), a simple cream soda, bourbon and bitters. And I was impressed! Refreshing, tasty, and not overly sweet. A great summer drink, and now I'll have to make it at home.

Sorry North End, but there's no evidence that you created Scali Bread. Instead, Fitchburg has that claim to fame, back to the Sunlight Bakery in 1941. In fact, throughout the 1940s, the only references to Scali Bread were from that Fitchburg bakery. passionatefoodie.blogspot.com/2025/08/the-...
