I really wish we'd stop calling them climate "skeptics" or "vaccine skeptics", if you jump off a cliff we don't call you a "gravity skeptic"

If you have tenure at Texas A&M and aren't maliciously emailing the president a dozen times every day to ask if you can say this or you can say that, then what's the point in having tenure?

Its actually worse, in the case of small airports its basically a subsidy to the private jet set
So it turns out... the US air travel system was incredibly, deeply dependent on federal funding to just run day-to-day all this time, to the benefit of private airline shareholders, when everyone thinks that state-run trains are leeching off the government. Weird!

Muslims are 1-2% of U.S. population. If that’s a “takeover” it’s the weakest one imaginable.

Off the charts projection from Christian nationalists who want prayer in schools, mix religion & state, & have Govt based on Christianity rather than the Constitution. Every MAGA accusation is a confession.

I will mortgage my house to support the first politician who promised to rain hellfire on white collar crime the way we do on weed dealers and undocumented workers.
Elon Musk has been a walking SEC violation for a decade and no one cared. The entire Trump era could have been avoided if the US took white collar crime anywhere near as seriously as it does low level drug crime.

On a 2023 earnings call, Elon Musk boasted that Tesla had bagged “over 1 million” Cybertruck reservations and that “demand is off the charts.”

So why has the company still sold less than 50,000 trucks since customer deliveries began 14 months ago?

Thanks to @escheinto.bsky.social for reminding Canadian archivists and librarians to boycott ULINE. This is an organization that supports Trump and is fuelled by hatred. There are many other alternatives.
