Quite. I worked a little with ANN about 15 years ago it’s frustrating to see how fancy new AI is basically just rebranded ANN with all of its original glaring limitations (GIGO, black box, overfitting, local minima/maxima etc etc) presumably still there mostly unaddressed…..

No, what is happening is that everyone is using chatgpt to write their grant applications because writing all that turgid robotic crud was a barrier before & now it isn’t
