I walked past the V&A
yesterday and - for the first time - noticed the bomb damage. There is a plaque that reads in part: THE DANAGE TO THESE WALLS IS THE RESULT OF ENEMY BOMBING DURING THE BLITZ OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR 1939-1945 #WW2 #History

Does anyone have an ‘Aliens Order 1920, Certificate of Registration’ (as shown below) issued between 1939-1952 that they would be happy to share with me? If the person was born prior to 1924, or you have proof of death, that would be even better! Thanks very much! #Help #Genealogy #FamilyHistory

Is anyone interested in trading in any of their books and media? I’ve used WeBuyBooks and have had a good experience… you scan the barcodes in their App. I’ve made £47 so far. I can invite you via email to a sign up offer. I believe we both get £5. (Books pictured not for sale.)

Absolutely! I’m hoping to look at (or rather find) some case studies of #evacuees that were #evacuated both before and after 29th September 1939 as part of my work on the National Register and records of National Registration. If anyone has any stories, let me know! #FamilyHistory #1939Register

if you are researching your #FamilyTree in #Oxfordshire then I highly recommend the Oxfordshire Surname Interest List, I receive an email once a month with a list of new surname interests, or you can just search the database to see if your surname is already listed #Genealogy
