I'm so lost on Swen's (Larian CEO) doubling down on using ChatGPT for powerpoints and pre-production concepting despite A) admitting it adds no value to the pipeline and B) having no shareholder interests pressing down on him. Literally just seems like he got grifted and this is sunk cost phallacy

I am in doubt about my future in this industry.
I finished my tasks for the current project released in Early Access and I don't know what's next.
GenAI is the worst thing that happened to the creative field.
It's harming people in both intellectual and financial ways.
AI users and not users.

This is the case for me too. I’m rarely angry and am pretty even keeled/ jokey in general. But 2 years out of work and seeing the news this week hits such a sore point. Struggling in life and finances along with the state of everything creates this perfect storm that makes it difficult to stay calm
I am getting to that point where it's a bit hard to reign myself in, and I consider myself a pretty well-tempered, resilient individual. But hearing shit like what the Larian CEO said, and what the lead from Warhorse Studios said, when I am still actively looking for work, it's just a mess.

Remember how I said I have it written into my foreign-language contracts that my work has to be translated by an actual human? This shit is why.
Those book translations are gonna suck. They'll save money putting out books that are going to be painful to read. That's not a great long-term strategy.
