UPDATE!! I have very good news! I went back in and re-seated everything, and got the feed button working, which seems to have been the issue because now...

Update! I have got the light to stabilise (gave it a whack) and data transfer works, but it fails to drive the paper and gives Error 3. This seems to mean the printer is actually ok now? Maybe the paper is sticky, or the third party cable is jank. It lives?

Update! First pass done and it's gone from no power light, to flashing power light. Progress, but no good hint as to what might be wrong now...
