Restoring operations and straightening out payroll and operating budgets after a shutdown is a giant pain in the ass. I know. I’ve had to do it twice. I was just thinking about what my former colleagues are going through and I feel for them but DAMN I’m glad I retired and don’t have to do it again!

We need more leaders like Jasmine Crockett. We need more Democrats who can actually distill an issue and explain it in a way that people understand and who can make compelling arguments.
Let’s be clear: the hold-up isn’t on our side. This was his campaign promise—so he needs to go ahead and fulfill it. Release the files. All of them.
