one could argue the lies about the science could be beyond the grasp of non-academics to truly understand, but the lie that there's a risk to an academic or that the topic is taboo is so blatant when one looks at how much those researcher publish, in what outlets, and their citation metrics

there's enough to like about the game, but it just feels like they designed the game to really only be for a very very small segment of gamers. it overall feels like an exclusionary experience, which isn't something i felt at all throughout hollow knight

yea. there's really no sense of breathing room. after accomplishing a thing and getting some sort of upgrade or improvement, i haven't yet felt a sense of getting stronger/better/faster/harder (work it, make it, do it). i just have one more tool on another button or button combo

... like i'm having fun in spite of the game's design mechanics, rather than because of it. most of the fun is coming from the writing, hornets' interactions with the various weird little bugfolk she encounters throughout (i would die for sherma!), rather than the gameplay

it is possible, and far more common than people think, for family to not actually know the lives of their family members (especially kids). it's not unique to trans people, either. let's not pretend there's anything special about familial relation
