This is just the direct subsidy. It’s also an economic subsidy if you’re allowed to pollute for free. That subsidy of fossil fuel has hit $700 billion a year. Every year. It’s the biggest subsidy in world history.
Subsidies for Fossil Fuel Firms Have Doubled Since 2017, Now $35 Billion a Year
Oil and gas companies could gobble up billions in tax credits if lawmakers don’t act, warn the authors of a new report.

Kodak, when confronted with the rise of digital photography, went big on investments in…film.

Which is why you don’t hear about Kodak anymore.

In a related dynamic, the United States, when confronted with the rise of clean energy, went big on investments in… oil.
Huge: An internal Interior Department memo that I’ve reviewed shows the agency may soon subject *any* activities related to wind and solar to heightened levels of political review.

It threatens to delay renewables projects across the country, including those not on federal lands.

It's annoying how clearly this is going to play out.

They gut the FAA.
Therefore, the FAA can't do its job well because it was gutted.
Therefore, they say "The FAA sucks, we have to privatize it." which is what Project 2025 wants to do. They're manufacturing the crises for their end goal.

Imagine if the media pointed out there was already a Government Accountability Office whose job it is to go after actual waste and fraud, not just things Elon doesn’t like, and found $70 Billion in savings last year and $2 Trillion in waste since 2003.

The rush to destroy things like USAID and other agencies before lawsuits can stop them is to make it moot. When our stupidly slow judicial system finally moves to stop them it will be far too late. If all 10,000 USAID employees are home and projects abandoned it’s done. It’s evil.

Losing NOAA would be devastating. Project 2025 authors want to get rid of it because it monitors climate change, and privatize the information it currently provides for free, so you'll have to buy information about the weather and the winds (imperative for mariners).

So if I’m understanding today correctly, the world’s richest person Elon Musk, whom no one elected, is taking over federal payment systems and employee data while the federal employees who investigate and prosecute public corruption are being fired en masse.
