My point in saying all of this is that in your praxis from now on, in whatever organizing and community work you are doing, you need to give & demand accountability & honesty from the folks you're dealing with or you shouldn't be dealing with them.
And if shit don't line up, call it what it is.

We, too, have been indoctrinated under the society which created these conditions, so we each have to actively, aggressively interrogate defensiveness in ourselves as a thing that hinders your growth immensely - if you can't even consider a thing about yourself, how can you fix it if it's true?

The ruling class is reinforcing why this whole system must be brought down by devaluing these other lives and telling us that the hunt for the killer of one of their own is more important than every other investigation in the country.
