エジプト、Quseir層産の後期白亜紀の新種のモクレン科植物の材化石マグノリアケオキシロン・アフリカヌム Magnoliaceoxylon africanum。
同じ層準かは分かりませんが、Quseir層からはイガイ Igai semkhu という竜脚類恐竜の化石も見つかっている点、興味を惹かれます。

アルゼンチンの前期完新世の地層から見つかった新種の菌類ディプロクラディエラ・アランバリアエ Diplocladiella arambarriae。
本属の化石記録は、非鳥類型恐竜絶滅事件の直後の時代まで遡ることができるとの見方を示しています。

デボン紀からジュラ紀の森林の進化。
ジュラ紀の中期から後期に林冠の高さが上がる傾向が見られる点は、恐竜の進化を考察する上でも興味深いところです。
中生代では、恐竜が出てくる少し前の中期三畳紀も森林の植生の重要な変化点になっています。

中東産の後期白亜紀のグシセラ Gusicella属の大型底生有孔虫について。
イランの白亜紀マーストリヒチアンの地層から産出したものを新種グシセラ・コンプレクサ Gusicella complexa として記載しています。
本属はこの地域固有のグループだったようです。

中期ジュラ紀のパラプロトプシリディウム科の新属新種の化石昆虫ラオプシリディウム・ダオフゴウエンシス Laopsyllidium daohugouensis。
この科の化石記録は今のところアジアに限られていますが、これが本当に当時の彼らの分布の様子を反映しているのかは、さらなる調査が必要と。

殻が外側にある軟体動物の軟体部は内側にあるやつらと比べてほとんど保存されないもんだと思ってた（前出てたアンモナイトの軟体部がコウモリダコかなんかに抜き取られたやつだった）からこの化石はビビった

イタリア、Lavini di Marco の前期ジュラ紀の獣脚類恐竜の足跡化石の研究。
シノサウルス Sinosaurus のような恐竜や比較的大きめのケラトサウルス類の恐竜が遺したと見られる足跡の化石が産出しており、これらは当時の陸地の繋がりを考える上でも興味深い存在です。

アメリカ、テネシー州、Gray Fossil Site 初のシカの仲間の化石。
前期鮮新世のエオコイレウス Eocoileus gentryorum と呼ばれる種のもので、シカの仲間が500万年近くに渡り、この地域で同じような役割を担っていることを示唆する発見です。

カナダ産の石炭紀の謎の四肢動物“アサフェステラ・プラティリス“ “Asaphestera platyris“ の研究。
本種が単弓類に属するとの説は妥当とは言えず、そもそも独自の特徴が認められないため学名の有効性自体も怪しいとのこと。

本種は初期のヘビ下目の仲間で、ヤスリヘビ科に属する可能性があると。

ヨーロッパの複数の地点で産出する小さな化石を調べると、ジュラ紀の地層からは頭足類の平衡石が多数見つかる一方、前期白亜紀の地層ではそれらの存在感が薄まり、魚類の耳石が多数見つかるようになると。
