Doesn't solve the widespread anti-art tendencies that misaccusations due to AI panic merely reveal, and it won't change a studio that's already so deeply invested in techbro grifts, but I love that qzilla has been forced to issue a statement explaining that no AI was used in the production of Sekiro

People are misreading Mukouda's animation in the same way they accused an old legend like Ohira of using AI when he appeared in One Piece. It's the secret annoying part of this genAI era: people with a narrow (if any at all) understanding of art concluding anything outside their boring norm is AI

How do you know for sure? I would be surprised if a show with people like Kutsuna and Kishida on staff used gen ai.

Fantastic mood piece epitomised by the great ED song. Gisaburo Sugi is very skilled and uses strong colour and art direction here to create a great tone despite lots of repeated scenes in a clearly very limited production. Anime often struggles at horror but it can thrive on mood

It has an undoubtedly rough production, plus some character actions really pissed me off, but this show had so much damn soul. Heck, Obayashi took photos himself for the backgrounds I believe. Lovely show.

It may have plenty of things I can fault, but Doukyuusei is an aesthetically gorgeous film with distinct designs from Akemi Hayashi marrying perfectly with Shouko Nakamura's evocative direction and panelling and Chieko Nakamura's art direction. Shouko Nakamura deserves more projects!

Some seasons verge on being favourites but it doesn't quite make it as a whole. Nevertheless Haikyuu is a lot of fun, tense, and genuinely well written with its characters. Made me play volleyball, and volleyball is fun!
