"Enforce faith-based policies" is a telling phrase, as it indicates that the LDS church is driven by the love of power, not the power of love. Religion should have a ministry function, not a constabulary function.

I cite, as an example, the law prohibiting rainbow crosswalks, including the one memorializing the Pulse Nightclub shooting victims.

Rainbow crosswalks don't unjustly impose on people, and they don't threaten public safety. The law prohibiting them serves bigots' interest in ideological control.

Nothing makes me think that, any more than anything makes me think Trump is a Christian. Both Hitler and Trump posed as Christians in order to commoditize and weaponize faith as a tool for political gain.
