In a SCOTUS brief opposing the recognition of transgender personhood as a protected class, the LDS church states that such protection could restrict its ability to enforce faith-based policies.

In the Gospels of Matthew and Luke, Satan is recorded as tempting Jesus with the love of power. On a strictly literary level, it seems prudent to thank Satan for helping society identify an early means test for fascism. (Not that we've been good at applying this means test, of course).

I find this meme interesting on an ironic level because, theologically, Luigi Mangione is much closer to Judas because Judas's surname (Iscariot) could imply that he was a member of the Sicarii, a cloak-and-dagger group of people who rebelled against Rome by assassinating members of the Roman elite.

If you've ever been to a large arena or stadium concert- especially one that has compulsory seating- and felt that there was something spiritually "off" about it, Malidoma Somé's thoughts might seem relevant to you:

If one does use rows of chairs, they shouldn't be as long or tightly packed as pews. Part of the embarrassment is squeezing in front of people.

I think Malidoma Somé's advice about concerts hints at a solution- giving people opportunities for discrete exit when standing, dancing etc could help.

"He was a family man"

So was Pablo Escobar.

Having a family doesn't negate the reality of one's harmful, greedy business practices, even in death.
