Today marks 3 years since the Supreme Court overturned the constitutional right to abortion.

Revisit our conversation with
@revangelatw.bsky.social on how faith communities can organize to protect reproductive access in our post-Roe reality.

Wow! I am starstruck that @sojo.net thought of me, my amazing Co-Director Rev. Iya Latishia James, and SACReD, and added us to this list of powerful, amazing, badass women shaping the church in 2025!

I’ll also be making my way through @revlizzie.bsky.social’s new devotional: God Didn’t Make Us to Hate Us: 40 Devotions to Liberate your Faith from Fear and Reconnect with Joy! Are you reading it, too? Let’s talk about it!

May your Ash Wednesday feel holy and gritty. May you feel that dirt under your nails, that real substance that reminds us that we come from the earth.

From dust you came, to dust you shall return.

I am so fascinated by the messages of these Super Bowl commercials. So much anti-DEI but so much representation and messages of compassion.

Maybe something about the country still being divided? Or the current administration’s efforts don’t actually represent the values of people in this country.

Good God. What is happening?!

Prayers for everyone impacted by both plane crashes at #DCA and #Philadelphia this week. May God be with their souls and protect everyone in the immediate area, especially the first responders.

DEI did not cause a plane crash. This is infuriatingly ableist and racist garbage. In our greatest moment of need, we are once again abandoned by the very people meant to lead.

People with disabilities are not the problem here.
People with disabilities must not become the scapegoat.

Presidents and all leaders must take responsibility for those under their care and the ways their actions impact them.

As Bishop Budde reminded us, have mercy on those who are scared.
Despite Donald Trump’s claims on, disabled people did not cause the plane crash at DCA. What a dangerous, repugnant, morally reprehensible thing to say to a nation of people who are shocked & scared and especially to the grieving families of people who just died in a horrific and unimaginable way.

Every night I read a poem. I'm making my way through my friend @brodyparrishcraig.bsky.social’s The Patient is an Unreliable Historian. They record a poem each week that you can call in and listen to them read.

Tonight I opened my book to this poem, called the number, and… 1/2
"when the stranger/doctor/voyeur says gimme some skin says hi says howdy do you have a light

says do you have a marked incongruence between yr experienced or expressed gender & primary &/or sex characteristics..."

for a good time call (918) 516-5195 to hear the rest (& leave a vm/txt back!) 📞💄🦝

There are reasons why the word “sanctuary” means several things at once in our language.

I loved watching Bishop Budde speak truth to power yesterday. Now I ask you to keep the Bishop and all of our Episcopal siblings in the DC area in your prayers.

The hate calls are coming in hot and strong on any line that is listed. May the Divine protect our hearts, minds, and ears in these days.

Just FYI, administrative warrants (like the ones used by ICE) are not judicial warrants (used by cops, signed by a judge).

You do NOT legally have to open the door for an ICE officer with an administrative warrant *no matter what the ICE officer says.*

It was the best of times; it was the worst of times. In the pandemic, we created Queer Lady Church, started making videos, and this was the first to go big. We found thousands who needed to see two happy queer clergy. We haven’t posted in 2 yrs, but it’s sweet to relive those content creation days.

Correct. I’m less likely to shop at these criminalized stores in my racially mixed neighborhood. Then I fear that these results will lead to these stores leaving my neighborhood and small local businesses can’t afford the exorbitant rent, so our community actually gets less resources. What a mess.

My first few days on this app, I got a lot of spam follows from profiles of women with OF or xxx in their handle.

Now I have spam follows from random middle age men.

Is this a side effect of being bisexual?

I’m very glad that this platform is not in the toxicity of other major tech platforms, but I really miss the feature on Threads where you just automatically follow people on IG and vice versa.

It just takes some time and effort to curate this thing.

Wrote a whole thing about how I don't like winter.

Five minutes later it starts blowing snow and we still go out to run our errands.

What has this city done to me?!?!

We walked to our Friday morning tacos like we do most Fridays. En route, I looked up and was shocked that I could see the Washington National Cathedral through the trees. 1/7
