In this season of wandering through the wilderness of Lent, I am deepening that purge by intentionally stepping away from social media. I may pop in from time to time, esp for work. But I am paying attention to where my attention goes, and too much of it feeds these algorithms of consumption.

May your Ash Wednesday feel holy and gritty. May you feel that dirt under your nails, that real substance that reminds us that we come from the earth.

It was the best of times; it was the worst of times. In the pandemic, we created Queer Lady Church, started making videos, and this was the first to go big. We found thousands who needed to see two happy queer clergy. We haven’t posted in 2 yrs, but it’s sweet to relive those content creation days.

We walked to our Friday morning tacos like we do most Fridays. En route, I looked up and was shocked that I could see the Washington National Cathedral through the trees. 1/7
