Yesterday we had storms so I covered Sunny. Now she is master-level blanket fort-ing. I’m a bit jealous.

It's been no secret that I am basically a Pen Dragon. I don't JUST collect... I have a freakin' hoard. @hollyfrey.bsky.social, the SYMHC ballpoint pen and behind the scenes episodes came in the middle of this organization project. Jimmy was a huge help. And this isn't quite all of them (98%-ish).

There's a LOT (So Much) happening right now that's just awful. But we need some levity to keep from going fetal.. so here's a dog who's put out because her couch was moved for a wall repair and nothing is RIGHT.

The other end of the box car was her desk and more of her life than teaching - including one of her composition books showing her writing on all the right hand pages, then turning it over and writing again.

This morning marks the first time in over 10 years that a storm rolled through that didn't mean I had to be concerned about anyone or anything but my family and home.

Today I completed a chapter in my life (sort of). I made the best decision I could from the choices facing me. There are still things I can’t say/do (legally) for awhile, but we are with my decisions.

Found this nugget in our backyard all alone and stuck. Freed him and took him to the emergency vet where Amanda immediately took him in to foster with other kittens his age.
We couldn’t adopt. The dogs and spousal allergies would not allow it.
