Found out about this 1991 song in a #DefLeppard interview. I know #BryanAdam's big hits but not all the deep cuts. To my ears it has the vibes of a couple of my favorite songs "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" by #ThePolice (especially the introduction) and "Bristol Shores" by #EricJohnson.

Found out about this 1991 song in a #DefLeppard interview. I know #BryanAdam's big hits but not all the deep cuts. To my ears it has the vibes of a couple of my favorite songs "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" by #ThePolice (especially the introduction) and "Bristol Shores" by #EricJohnson.

It's nice to know what the November Rain music video was about. It did not make a whole lot of sense without all the context around it.
Lettering I did about a poem from the early 1990s.
A rough sketch of a title for my poem. The idea was to connect all the characters together so that it would go with the theme of moving up in age. I ended up dropping this concept so I could go with big chunkier type that matched the other titles in my work.

I went to this crossroads, both literal and figurative, to think about Kai. When I got there I was so lost in thought that I just treated it like any intersection. I was so mad at myself for letting mundane everyday affairs get to the forefront of my mind when this was so much more momentous.

This 3 line stanza I am thinking of using as an intro to a multipart #NarrativePoem. It used to have about 20 lines but I think it works better short.

I've been working on heading graphics for my introduction blurb page for over a year. I didn't expect it to take so long but for some reason the graphic with positive type on the top, negative see through type on bottom messed with my mind a little bit!

One of my favorite parts of this project was when I started writing poems on the many students I grew up. By thinking back on them again it got me to look into what they are doing now. I found someone from my sixth grade homeroom and I enjoyed reading his blog posts yesterday.

I got a box-set of the #ThreeNinja movies with the last in the series to star #HulkHogan. It is the weakest one with heavily recycled ideas and no original kid stars. I would rather grow up with the same actors to see how they mature in their high school years. The new kids are from Power Rangers.

It is fun browsing eBay to find advertisements from prior eras like these Russell and Tultex ads from the 80s and 90s. You can pick up some great stuff sometimes!
I love these ads I found on eBay that market sweats primarily by how stylish they are. "Dressed To Kill" and "Our Image Follows Us Everywhere."
I wonder why it took companies so long to sell them from this perspective? Prior eras just touted their sports performance advantages as far as I can tell.

I bought the deluxe version of this a few years ago that came with a really awesome large book to accompany it. My class at design school had fun looking it over such cool uses of type.

This is a poem about an event that happened to me back in #MiddleSchool. In class they were teaching us about unsung heroes so I merged the two ideas together into one free verse write-up. I would like to do one where it rhymes too! I've been playing with rhyme schemes like a,b,b,a.
