Still struggling with just how avoidable this was, and how the years of warnings were ignored. At this point it feels as it will still get much worse before it gets better, so a key challenge now is to imagine then work towards a world beyond the horror of the present. That’s my aim, at least.

Be relentless.
(like, I'm never one for fashion, but). (as the article points out it had practical uses 🤷🏻‍♀️)
The Revolution Wore Black: Protest Fashion in 19th-Century Poland
As daguerreotypes of insurgents in ‘czamary’ and mourning crinolines attest, fashion, design and photography became tools of resistance during the January Uprising.

One of my open tabs is The Indian Paintbrush by Tomie dePaola.
It was on Reading Rainbow in 1991, *I* heard it in 93 or 94. TV was different then and no internet so it slipped into the abyss.
In 2006 on my birthday weirdly, I turned the TV on and PBS was reairing that episode.

It's too cold in this room & my literal brain feels like it's shaking.
Or it's a panic attack. Either way, super fun.

And that's a white people problem to fix with each other.

Y'all have got to stop putting it on especially Black & Indigenous people to fix issues that we didn't start in the first place. Even though it's not our responsibility, we tried & still not listened to.

Time for y'all to fix it.

If we're really going to talk about it, then for all the unnecessary shit Black people get put through when trying to coalesce with non-Black people (a thing that I ridicule often), the fact is, there can still be no effective liberation movement in America without Black voices.

I get that we need to build coalitions with people we disagree with, but also please understand that we will get absolutely nowhere if we treat the current administration as the cause rather than the symptom.

I told someone I know to stay away from the stock market…. because money made off the backs of the suffering of all the poorest people in the world is a curse.

Yes. I’m a scientist, and I used the word curse.

Sanders: Tariffs used selectively are a good idea if they're going to protect American jobs. But to arbitrarily, out of nowhere, come up with a tariff that they can't even justify or explain to virtually every country on Earth is absolutely counterproductive

I don't know who needs to see this but it's OK if you're a burden. All humans are. It's part of existing.

And you know what? You deserve to take up space.

Stop shrinking and minimizing your needs because society has convinced you that having needs is something to be ashamed of.
