Oh it gets better. Since those hostages didn’t have lily white skin, the IDF mistook them for Pakistani resistance fighters. That’s why they shot first before asking questions

Is this from Today? Because I keep seeing photos of different groups EVERY DAY. These photos are trophies meant to dehumanize Palestinians. But also (and it makes me sick to say this) they allow ENJOYMENT on the part of Israelis. And constructs a particular form of national identity.

As a critical-race feminist, I'm begging people to remember that western audiences are primed by the myth of the brown rapist to believe that all arab men are potential rapists, incapable of humanity and vulnerability. Israel is weaponising our feminist inclination to believe. Here's what I think:
