It’s really hard to read this stuff from Weiss and not come away with the view that she thinks someone convicted of a violent criminal offense (which without dispute is horrific) is worthy of being raped and tortured in CECOT.
The full Weiss memo is dogshit
-who cares if administration figures “regret” sending people to CECOT
-who cares about the criminal histories of the people we sent to CECOT, we sent them to a torture prison
—who cares about the “debate” over the legality of sending people to a torture prison

I’m launching a Substack. Why? Because Trump is completely unfit for office, his enablers are cowards, and the truth needs to be said plainly by someone who knows how these guys tick. Subscribe if you're with me. open.substack.com/pub/gtconway...

Gee, wonder why?

They have no idea how obvious they make their coverup attempts are.

At least 16 files have disappeared from the DOJ webpage for documents related to Jeffrey Epstein

So obvious
Nobody works this hard for this long to cover up something this bad unless they are guilty.

When they wanted to release the files early this year, they paid $1M in overtime and put 1000 people on it - until they realized what was in the files. Now they’re slow walking the release.

By 1:30pm today, Democracy Docket had already published that the DOJ files release was incomplete and violated federal law.

Why did it take so many legacy media outlets until this evening to come to the same conclusion?
🚨BREAKING: The Department of Justice will fail to publicly release all of its files on convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein by a Friday deadline, violating a new federal law explicitly mandating that the trove of documents be turned over for public scrutiny. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

Trump v2.0 is the same cast of characters as Trump v1.0.

No expertise, no respect for their country and no respect for the Constitution.

Trump never hires people with expertise. If you want a job in his administration, just say nice things about him.
Most FBI Deputy Directors spend years working through the ranks of the Bureau to reach that position. It’s the height of prestige.

Bongino quit after less than a year to return to his life getting paid to spew conspiracy theories on his podcast in a T-shirt.

Not for nothing but federal law contains several statutory provisions that restrict, if not outright prohibit, this unilateral action by the senile dementia patient in the Oval.

War Powers Act. War Crimes Act. Anti-Piracy Act. Neutrality Act.

All still on the books.
Trump: "Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled ... It will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before — Until such time as they return to the USA all of the Oil, Land, and other Assets that they previously stole from us."

This is Trumps party, constitutional obligations are just suggestions to him
It's not a question of politics or party. Congress has a constitutional obligation to impeach and to remove a president who commits high crimes and misdemeanors and forsakes his solemn oath.

And there has never been a president who has committed as many impeachable offenses than this one.
There's a Hill bubble narrative, posing as savvy realism, in treating impeachment as some radioactive poison and so Democrats must squash any talk of it. But there's zero evidence for that. No polls back it up, nor recent history. It's all just pundit-brained conventional wisdom eating its own tail.

He just described the ACA.
Rand Paul on his healthcare plan: "What if you could join Costco? Costco has 44m members and if one person negotiated for all 44 and they bought a group plan like Toyota or General Motors does, they would be the largest collective entity in the country. They would drive prices down by sheer might."

They're using the confinement box, one of the most horrific methods of CIA torture in the post-9/11 black sites, against migrants now. This is the direct result of the lack of consequences for the architects of the torture program. Either there will be criminal penalties for this or it will expand.
