NHS waiting lists are now at their lowest in two years – thanks to Labour’s record investment, bold reforms, and the dedication of NHS staff.

In less than a year, we’ve:

✅ Recruited 1,700 new GPs
✅ Delivered 3.5 million extra appointments
✅ Cut waiting lists by over 200,000

Today, our Labour government secured a landmark agreement with the European Union.

An agreement that serves the national interest – creating jobs, lowering household bills, and strengthening border security.

Plenty of good conversations in Finchfield (Tettenhall Wightwick ward) this morning, as Warinder Juss MP & the team spoke to residents.

Roads, speeding, immigration and NHS were among the issues raised.

No elections this year, but we’re out listening and engaging with residents across Wolves West.

Our MP Warinder Juss has just voted in favour of the emergency Steel Industry (Special Measures) Bill - now passed in the Commons and heading to the Lords.

Labour is standing up for British steel, saving jobs in Scunthorpe and across the country.

Good news! Penn Fields School is among the first to pilot free daily breakfast clubs.

This will save families up to £450 a year & help every child start the day ready to learn.

A key part of the govt’s Plan for Change.

@carolinelucas.bsky.social Interesting piece in Prospect. I agree on the need for a wealth tax and follow @GarysEconomics, but I haven’t seen much evidence on the risk of capital flight or how effectively the tax could be recovered. Do you have any links to peer-reviewed studies on it?

Labour has delivered 2 million extra NHS appointments - meeting our election pledge early. NHS waiting lists are down 4 months in a row. The NHS is on the road to recovery. More to do, but real progress!

@iandunt.bsky.social Should Labour get serious about tightening controls on statutory instruments? We probably need to future-proof democracy by making it harder for any authoritarian government to exploit executive powers. Time to plan ahead for a possible Reform win I feel.
