Despite all the noise, Labour is delivering in Government. Tories & Lib Dems shut Sure Start centres - and you can be sure neither the Tories nor Reform would bring them back. Evidence shows Sure Start was one of the most effective drivers of social mobility.

The Government has announced big changes to voting today - votes at 16 and automatic voter registration, to name just two.

Our Wolverhampton West CLP motion to Regional Conference this year called for automatic voter registration, so it’s great to see it becoming policy.

Wolverhampton Council has received a £2m boost from our Labour West Midlands Mayor to tackle potholes – one of the most common issues raised to us on the doorstep. This adds to the Council’s existing £9.7m highways investment.

Great to have the team back out campaigning in Penn after the local elections. Crime and speeding were top concerns on the doorstep – and glad to say the Labour vote is holding up well.
