The Bronx is home to one of the largest Jamaican diasporas in the U.S. Our communities have deep ties to Jamaica, and many are anxiously awaiting word from their loved ones amidst the horrible storm.

No one in the richest country on earth should go hungry because of political games in DC. I'll keep fighting to protect SNAP and ensure every family in the Bronx has access to the nutrition they need and deserve.

If this funding is allowed to lapse, mothers and children across the country will be left struggling to afford basic nutrition.
Congress must act now to reopen the government and fully fund WIC before lasting harm is done to families who can least afford it.
