Emergency physician, public servant, and dad. Proudly serving California's 25th Congressional District.
It is my honor and privilege to present medals to Juan Carlos Lopez-Mendoza, who served in the U.S. Army, 1990-1993 and Glenn King, who served in the U.S. Navy, 1962-1968. These heroes served and sacrificed for our nation. Thank you for your service and commitment to the values of our country.

I’ve been working to open the government, protect healthcare, & keep ACA tax credits in place so our communities aren’t slammed with health care costs that could climb by up to $18,000 a year.

That is why I recently hosted a virtual resource fair to connect people with immediate support.

Today, I spoke to folks at Renova Energy to emphasize the importance of the work they do & show my unwavering support for renewable energy efforts in our communities. I look forward to continuing our partnership in making California’s 25th district more climate-friendly. @renovaenergia.bsky.social

I joined Coachella Valley Association of Governments to celebrate the grand opening of Coachella Valley Link in Cathedral City! I’m ecstatic to support CV Link with federal funds & see it become a reality. This project is a crucial initiative to connect the communities of the Coachella Valley.

Thank you, @pelosi.house.gov, for your service to California and our country.

From strengthening our democracy to helping pass the Honoring our PACT Act for veterans exposed to toxins, you have shaped a better future for all. Grateful for your leadership and your dedication to working people.

I joined Beaumont in a ribbon-cutting for the 2nd St Extension project that will relieve traffic during rush hour & train stoppages. This will make daily travel more reliable for everyone across the city.

I secured $1 million to support this project & proud to see it delivered for the Pass Area.

Hunger is growing in our communities as the government shutdown drags on, hitting 42% of people in #CA25 who rely on SNAP. This comes on top of the largest SNAP cut in history of $186 billion in Republican’s Big Ugly Law.

I’ll keep fighting to protect SNAP, reopen the government, and lower costs.
November 5, 2025 at 7:38 PM
I joined Democratic Inland Empire members of Congress to visit Feeding America Riverside & San Bernardino Counties to highlight the urgent need to support families facing hunger & those affected.

I’m fighting to reopen the government, protect SNAP benefits, & stop health care costs from rising.

Today is Election Day & every Californian has the right to cast their ballot freely, privately, & without fear.

Californians should feel safe & confident in our election process. Remember to make a plan & use official resources to track their ballots & find polling places at sos.ca.gov/elections.

Our communities are facing the largest SNAP cut in history & this government shutdown is making hunger worse. With 42% of our neighbors relying on SNAP, the stakes couldn’t be higher.

Speaker Johnson needs to stop canceling work. I’m fighting to open the government, protect SNAP, & lower costs.
November 3, 2025 at 10:46 PM
I joined Inland Empire Reps. Takano, Aguilar, & Torres at the Feeding America warehouse in Riverside to highlight how vital SNAP is for families in our communities.

I will continue to care for the people most impacted and fight to open the government, lower costs, and restore SNAP.

🚨 I’m going LIVE with @repmarktakano.bsky.social, @aguilar.house.gov, and @normajtorres.bsky.social to spotlight how the Trump Administration’s refusal to distribute November SNAP benefits will impact 42 million Americans, including right here in our communities.

I’m outraged that the Trump Administration is laying off federal workers at agencies they don’t like. No one should lose their job during a government shutdown, these are real people with families, not pawns in Washington’s political games.

Trick or treat! 🎃 Have a fun and safe Halloween night out there!

During the government shutdown I’m focused on taking care of the people most impacted.

I joined FIND Regional Food Bank and other community resources at the Palm Springs International Airport to distribute food to the hardworking TSA agents who are working & going without a paycheck.

Nov 1 starts the #CoveredCalifornia open enrollment period. Nearly 2 million Californians rely on the ACA tax credits to lower health care costs.

These tax credits make health coverage more affordable. I’m fighting for working people to reopen the government, protect health care, and lower costs.

WATCH: My Q&A with Brick Williams, who is being directly affected by the Republican government shutdown.

People in our communities, like Brick, shouldn’t have to choose between paying for lifesaving medicine or keeping a roof over their heads.

Millions of families could lose access to food assistance next month because Speaker Johnson and Republicans cancelled work and refuse to reopen the government. I’m fighting to reopen the government, protect food assistance, and lower costs.
October 29, 2025 at 7:27 PM
I’m in Washington working to reopen the government, protect health care, and prevent a surge in costs by extending the Affordable Care Act tax credits.

Without action, millions of Americans, including many in our communities, could see their health care costs skyrocket by more than $1,500 a month.

Exciting news! The #BrawleyCA Post Office has been officially dedicated in honor of Walter Ulloa, co-founder of Entravision and a pioneer in Spanish-language media.
October 27, 2025 at 8:42 PM
Rural communities are getting hit hard by the already rising health care costs. That’s why I joined my colleagues in calling on Speaker Johnson and Leader Thune to extend the ACA tax credits to prevent skyrocketing costs further.

We must reopen the govt, lower costs, and protect health care.
