Delivering common-sense, common-ground solutions for Maryland’s 6th District in Congress. Official account.
I'm appalled to see Trump betray the memory of President Kennedy and rename the Kennedy Center. It's illegal and I will do everything in my power to fight Trump and stop this selfish and egotistical move, including introducing legislation ASAP.
The Kennedy Center is a living memorial to a fallen president and named for President Kennedy by federal law. It can no sooner be renamed than can someone rename the Lincoln Memorial, no matter what anyone says.
Breaking news: The board of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has voted to rename the storied arts institution the “Trump-Kennedy Center,” according to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

Young people from across the country come to Capitol Hill to be a part of our democracy in action. Claire Satkiewicz departs my office today to return to Northeastern University to complete her studies.

Thank you @gomez.house.gov & @democracyforward.org for fighting—and winning—in court. Members of Congress must have immediate access to ICE facilities to inspect the conditions and treatment of the people from our districts who may be detained. More: mcclaindelaney.house.gov/media/press-...
This ruling is a win against Trump’s unaccountable DHS and ICE.

Oversight isn’t optional. It’s our constitutional duty.

As your representative, I will inspect detention facilities and make sure these agencies never operate in the shadows.
BREAKING: Court rules the Trump-Vance admin cannot block Members of Congress from conducting oversight at federal immigration detention facilities.

This victory in our case comes at a critical moment where reports of people being detained, and the abuses they endure, are only growing.

I stand with my fellow @housedemocrats.bsky.social. If Mike Johnson continues to ignore bipartisan pleas to extend ACA tax credits and end this health care crisis, Americans will pay the price for his incompetence on January 1st. Our country deserves better.
The House should vote on extending the Affordable Care Act tax credits.

Today.

Today I joined Governor Wes Moore, Hercules Fence President Evan Winston, and local leaders to welcome a new business into Maryland’s 6th. With Hercules Custom Iron opening its doors in Frederick, new jobs and ideas are coming to Maryland — proud to celebrate with the people who made it happen!

Last night, I spoke on the House floor about the incredible cost our communities will pay without ACA tax credits. Since then, even some of my GOP colleagues have joined Democrats to force a vote on extending these essential subsidies.

There is nothing "Presidential" about this post. These words are cruel, morally irresponsible, and dangerous, and the leader of our country represents ALL Americans, no matter of party, circumstance, or zip code. we are better than this and this must stop now!
December 17, 2025 at 12:31 AM
Whether you’re a parent, grandparent or anyone else, everyone irrespective of zip code, circumstance or party will face higher prices this holiday season.

H.R. 5754, the SAMOSA Act passed the House today! In September, I joined my colleagues — @repshontelbrown.bsky.social, Rep. Fallon, and Rep. Mace to co-lead this bipartisan, bicameral good governance legislation.
My bill to lower govt software costs– the SAMOSA Act – just passed the House.

Federal agencies spend $33 BILLION/yr on software – and there are a lot of duplicative accounts.

My bill makes sure we’re paying for the software we need, not overpaying for subscriptions we don’t.

For the U.S. to lead in science around the world, we need to fund groundbreaking research, maintain a robust federal scientific workforce, and engage in international collaboration — not just when this Administration finds international partnerships "appropriate.”
