I have to ask…what is the average ambulance bill in the US? I always thought it was absurd that even with universal healthcare in Canada we still get a $50 - $200 bill (depending on location). Please don’t tell me US rates are so high people choose to defer emergency transport? 🥺
A few years ago I decided to donate plasma and the person who was taking my blood fucked up which resulted in me losing a lot of blood. When I went to collect my money, I damn near collapsed and they insisted on calling an ambulance and I told them absolutely fucking not.

few years ago i impaled my leg on a short fence, and when someone came over to address my screams they offered to call an ambulance. i said no for fear of the ambulance bill, but also because i had come out there to smoke a cigarette, and i was gonna smoke one before taking an uber to the hospital
