In theory: Once Washington is on board, then Oregon would become a “border state”, and after them, California would be next.

Yeah, cuz it’s totally reasonable to expect someone, while losing consciousness, to pop up and start calling their insurance provider. Pure clown behaviour.

In the area I live they charge $848 for those sort of transfers. Which I also found shocking. It’s more cost effective for to hire a driver and private nurse for the hour at that point.

🥺 That’s wild. They should at least have a small flat minimum + mileage or something.

I’ve heard so many stories of people losing their homes, life savings, filing for bankruptcy, etc over a hospital stay or a life-threatening illness. I don’t understand how that’s acceptable for a country with such an abundance of wealth and resources.
