I was working at Symantec when we observed that ransomware attacks made a sudden shift to happending during business hours in large parts of Russia. That was an early signal of where it was going.

For most people, small talk is the oil that smooths social interactions. But to autistic people it can come across as speaking for the sake of it. Saying something without saying anything. An unreadable mask that neurotypicals unconsciously wear, concealing their true motivations/feelings.
