The Venn Diagram of protestors today who would count as hardcore antifa that are ready to take up arms for the revolution and people whose primary hobby is quilting would be interesting to see.

I always did exactly this same thing.

There are a bunch of scientific papers I edited in there, but I'm not sure that exactly counts.

Yeah, there is where I am, too, as someone half a lifetime now away from them. The institution does an *incredible* amount of harm on every level from the individual to the world. The people are people, and many of them are genuinely good. For the people I want freedom and safety and happiness.

I loved everything about that skirt. The swooshiness! I sounded like a sailing ship, taffeta grabs the air hard. It was wonderful for dancing in, and willing to be kilted up for tree-climbing. It spun beautifully. It washed easily. It put up with lolling in the grass without complaint.

usually adding a pair of belled anklets, and various necklaces and bracelets. I would generally either leave my hair down, or else split it into two braids and then wind those up around my head and pin them, maybe braiding in some ribbons or adding flowers.

I was quite small, so I had to take it in, which I made less obvious with a quantity of lace-edged green velvet ribbon. I wore it with a trim green lace waistcoat, a man's shirt with the sleeves rolled, and a rotating cast of boots (shiny calf-height, matching green suede knee-highs, stomping boots)

This has the same energy as the Boston Marathon Bombing investigation on Reddit.
