Sometimes vice versa.

Accurate reporting and rational analysis are important to me.

But we live in an unfortunate era where every attempt at balanced journalism must dance a fine line between sensationalizing the unremarkable, and normalizing the unacceptable.

I'd love to hear contrasting thoughts on this.
I kinda like Bluesky as an echo chamber. It encourages nuanced discourse with people I generally agree with.

I already have spaces to argue and debate with people I emphatically disagree with. And these people aren't trolls, they're reasonable, level-headed folks with different stances.

Proud of myself for curbing my contrarian streak online. Now I just need to do the same in the real world lol.

A keen eye for hyperbole, generalization, and other misleads is a great thing! But often, it's best that I keep the observation to myself.

Reposting once more.

If anyone has any opinions or alternatives to offer, I'd love to hear about them!
I'd like to start publishing some of my political thoughts and analysis in an article format, but I'm not sure what platform is the best fit.

Medium? WordPress? Substack?

If you see this and know the landscape, I'd appreciate any input. The only resource I can afford to allocate is my time.

I want to note here that I'm aware of the privileged tone of "Not really into..."

It isn't meant to be dismissive of the very real concerns people have.

That's just how I talk, and I'm trying to be authentic.

Bear with me.
Not really into the doom and gloom that seems to have subdued progressive spaces post-election.

That's not to criticize the human response; rather, I wonder whether said response is informed by the same brand of rhetoric that we mock others for buying into.

I'm not sure. Just thinking.

So it *clicked* in my mind today that "Department of Government Efficiency" acronymizes down to DoGE and that might be the final straw

Thinking about my digital footprint and how far I would go to keep it from harming my future endeavors. I used to post twenty one pilots lyrics. Full verses. Deep cuts. For the whole world to see. Why couldn't I post something more befitting a man of my background? like racism

Cis men truly need to understand the power of saying “that’s fucked up bro why would you say that” to another cis man
The responsibility for resisting and correcting this behavior shouldn’t fall solely on a specific gender. If you’re a man of conscience and you see another man mimicking Nick Fuentes, fuck him up on sight before the women even get a chance. I mean that.

I logged off Twitter years ago because of the toxicity. Heard we were starting over here.

Anyone else keep saying Blooski?
