They want to starve rural folks out and force them to metropolitan cities. Once they have us contained, they can control us better. A concentration camp without the walls. They don't understand rural life, but know we are resourceful and can provide for ourselves if needed.
Burn it all to the ground and buy up the land and water and minerals at rock bottom prices.
