Welp, my Facebook deletion didn't last long. But I do hope to use it less and use this more. The digital culture between the two apps is like night and day. Maybe I could use Bluesky more like journaling the way I did with early Facebook before it morphed into what it is now - whatever it is now.

I just deleted Facebook after spending hours a day on the platform for over a decade - for this exact reason. It's increasingly become a place of unmoderated and brazen hate over the last year, and particularly since last summer. I can't do that any more.

This is what I’ve been talking about, trying to be thoughtful about when to be outraged. It’s going to be a very long and very dark four years. Sometimes letting republicans fight with each other is going to be the only way.
