New paper out in #ES&T where we show that killifish exposure to crude oil has impacts (on embryo/larval development and transcriptome) that propagate to their offspring and to their grand-offspring. pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10....

If you're interested in the interaction between genetic and epigenetic changes during rapid adaptation, take a look at our recent paper in @pnas.org ! doi.org/10.1073/pnas...
Complementary genetic and epigenetic changes facilitate rapid adaptation to multiple global change stressors | PNAS
To persist under unprecedented rates of global change, populations can adapt or acclimate. However, how these resilience mechanisms interact, parti...

New preprint out from postdoc Jenny Nascimento-Schulze! In hybrid blue mussels, the genetic contribution from different species dramatically shifted under heat selection. And this resulted in changes in performance. Maybe an approach to increase aquaculture resilience?

Thermal selection shifts genetic diversity and performance in blue mussel juveniles
Mussels from the genus Mytilus, key inhabitants of the benthos, are important for the aquaculture industry and one of the most sustainable sources of animal protein available. Species within the Mytil...
