Before I left, I had to work with a DOGE bro on a project, and the one PR of his I looked at was full of AI-hallucinated code. He very obviously just pointed AI at it, and shipped it without checking any of it. They‘re not sending their best.

IMHO, this is why the president should not nominate the FBI director or AG.
Let the people vote them in or the House nominate them or literally anything else, too much power for one person.

I've taken a deep dive into the DOGE bro's open source software code commits to verify they never wrote (or even oversaw) any code beyond culture war messaging. It's all trivial stuff like this: taking out the "nonbiary" option on some form.

They thought we, being radical leftists apparently, would put a "DOGE sucks" type of message onto government websites or into government communication systems
My evidence for that: the right did exactly this to government websites. So they were projecting what they planned to do onto us.

Yes. Government needs to care for the people. It is the only moral reason for government to exist. That should always be its first priority and we need to vigorously demand it. It's clear grocery prices aren't going to come down on their own. Government needs to step in.

I reject the premise that private entities are entitled to, or deserve, to skim profit out of the middle of everything we try to do for people, especially when it comes to areas of necessity like food, healthcare, and housing.

without the overhead of profitability and unnecessary private levels of "administration" and executive pay. The private sector had the last 40 years to prove they are more efficient & can bring down costs. What they did instead was monopolize & drive up prices and drive down wages.
