Boots Not Suits?

Pierre Poilievre has never done manual labour in his life.

He's gonna lose just by treating Canadians this level of stupid.

A preprint published yesterday warns that the continued spread of H5N1 bird flu in dairy cattle gives the virus more opportunities to evolve and adapt, thereby increasing its zoonotic potential.

Sooooooo….threatening your closest neighbour and ally with annexation by any kind of force, kind of a red flag, right?
U.S. president-elect Donald Trump talks of using ‘economic force’ to annex Canada
Trump ruled out military action, but said economics could convince Canada to agree to a political union with the U.S.

Sorry rural SK, this isn’t the fault of the NDP from 30yrs ago. This is happening today and reflects the gross mismanagement of our public services & dollars by the current provincial gov’t.

Healthcare hasn’t improved under the SKParty. Very little has. And things are only worse under Moe.

In 2017 Wall announced he’d step down after just re-elected year prior. Many called for another election. Ongoing GTH scandal, PST hike/expansion was announced, services were drastically cut, another deficit. SKParty wasn’t popular. Moe benefitted from his party having 2+yrs to recover. Hypocrite.

SKParty has MLAs being investigated because their businesses accepted inflated taxpayer-funded gov’t contracts, and the biggest conflict they can come up with against the opposition is an MLA posting something about her cheese shop on social media? Agree it may be a grey area, but also so, so petty.

What they mean is their mandate is to stay the course on underfunding the public system so they can keep making excuses to increase the amount of taxpayer dollars they siphon to private clinics that donate to SKParty. They *want* the public system to fail. Standard Conservative operating procedure.
"The Saskatchewan Party government has a new mandate stay the course on health care"

This is my fear. The SP put forward exactly zero health care policy apart from HPV tests and a tax credit for IVF treatments.

Lewis: Health care failed to resonate in Sask. election, so we all lost
The Saskatchewan Party government has a new mandate stay the course on health care, and spend more time and money chasing the same mirages.

Trump’s breaking federal law. Refuses to submit documentation to allow proper transition of power. Would mean disclosing private donors, complying with security clearance requests for members of his administration, and a signed MOU of ethics not to hire conflicts of interest to assist in transition.

Looks like that Alberta outfit, Advance Regina, got a couple of their people in. SK: where we’ll let outside influences a province away control us!

Council appears to be a bit ideologically split. Will be interesting to see who sways who on issues. Tsiklis will be an embarrassment.

Got to meet the new Mayor last night. Seems like a decent dude. Looking forward to what he brings to the table. Just glad as hell Bresciani lost. She’s useless.

An hour and twenty minutes in line to vote today, but I got ‘er done. And now watching the results roll in. Some early surprises, also some expected outcomes (so far). Looks like that Advance Regina money from Alberta has found some success creating some tight races, too.

This prediction from 2016, over 8yrs ago, starts to make a lot more sense once you account for the number of men who just brazenly cast aside decades of hard-fought women’s rights in favour of worshipping at the micro-sized altar of a sadistic & narcissistic orange wannabe god.

The options for Mayor in Regina are reaaaaallllly underwhelming. If it comes down to Masters or Bresciani, which appears to be the case (and makes sense since they are the most established names), then I’d begrudgingly take Masters. Bresciani is dangerous and owned by out of province interests.
